This shoe is basically awesome. It is super comfortable and very stylish. It is also great quality, as I would expect from Inov-8.
It has a 25mm heel and a 16mm forefoot, a 9mm drop. The menโs size 10 weighed in at 9.8 ounces on my scale. I actually weighed it several times because this is slightly less than the shoe lists at (this is the first time I have ever had a shoe come up lighter than advertised).
The shoe has great laces and the upper is Gore-Tex, so your feet will stay dry. It is also very breathable. The toe box isnโt quite as wide as I would like, but it is certainly sufficient.
This shoe could be a trainer but I think it makes an excellent racer! It is less than 10 ounces, has a nice tread and a reasonable drop (9mm). I think you could race a 5k in it โ I also think you could race 50 miles in it!
