Saucony Fastwitch 7 Review

Finally! I always have difficulty finding racing shoes that fit. 99% of the time, they are too narrow. With that being said, the Fastwitch 7 is just right.

I’ve raced in the Fastwitch in the past – in fact, I still use the Fastwitch 3 every now and again. With that being said, I tried the 4, 5 and 6, and none of them were for me.

The Fastwitch 7 is super comfortable. The upper is a great material – very breathable! The toebox is a decent size and I wouldn’t change anything about the fit.

I sized up about a half size – if you usually fall between sizes, go bigger. If you usually fall right on a size, you should be fine.

The shoes have a 19mm heel and a 15mm forefoot – a 4mm drop.

The size 10.5 was 7.7 ounces on my scale – perfect!

The Fastwitch 7 has a decent sole for a racer – I find that many shoes are too smooth. Perhaps it is the trail runner in me, but I like a little grip. This shoe provides just enough.

Pros:

– weight – perfect for racing
– fit – very comfortable!
– sole – just enough grip
– drop – 4mm is perfect for racing
– price – $75.95 on Running Warehouse (get 10% off with code RUNBLOG10)
