Surviving/Thriving on Fruit: Week One

I’ve nearly finished week one of fruits and veggies. Below, I have included a sample of the last few days.

I’ve also cut back to one cup of coffee per day!! Prior to this, I was drinking about 38 cups per day (only slight hyperbole).

Unfortunately, it’s a little difficult to judge the effect, if any, on my running, because the ground is covered in snow and ice. I’ve been spending more time trying to stay upright than anything else.

I’ll continue to keep you posted. In the meantime, I’m getting lots of great food advice from Fully Raw and The Fruitarian.

  1. Do you feel satisfied? I’ve tried to eat only fruits and vegetables and it never lasts more than a meal or two because I never feel satiated. Maybe I’m just not eating enough. Don’t you want hot food this time of year?

    • Jason says:

YES to hot food – that’s been the biggest downfall so far. There have been a couple of times when I have been a little hungry, but probably not any different than when I was eating other foods. In fact, I think a lot of the bad stuff in processed foods just makes you hungrier because the hunger has been much less than I thought it would be!

  2. Is this a temporary experiment or do you intend to eat like this for an extended period of time?
