Obviously, things are pretty quiet this time of year. The Bandera 100K was on Saturday. There were 215 finishers and lots of DNFs in tough conditions. The race is a Western States qualifier. David Laney, Paul Terranova, Aliza LaPierra and Nicole Studer all punched their tickets to Western States.

My Upcoming Races
In my last post, I noted that the Finger Lakes 50s filled up in less than 12 hours (no worries, I got in). Well, last night, the Vermont 100 filled up in an hour. According to the race’s Facebook page, registration opened at 7:04pm and closed by 7:56pm. Yikes. I’m sure everyone wants in because it is a Western States qualifier.
The race is on my 2016 watch list – I’m curious to see whether or not the registration process will change.
This trend is not going away. Races are filling up incredibly fast. Are we reaching a point where we need qualifying races for qualifying races? More lotteries? Higher prices? *cringe*
I’m set to go over 100 miles for the year today – not bad! I have a nice steady pace going and I hope to keep it up! I’ve been on the treadmill more than in past years. I think I’m turning into a wimp in my old age!
Anyone else been spending more time indoors?
In other news, I’m back on the fruitarian diet! Later this week, I’ll post my daily “meals” and let you know how it’s going.
Did you have any resolutions for 2015? How are they going?
